Excess Reduction Options

Kimberley Adventure Hire offers excess reduction options, these are optional and enable you to reduce your excess (the amount you pay) in the event of a accident, aswell as protecting yourself from the little surprises that can pop up on the road, such as flat tyres or a rock chip in the windscreen.

How does it work?

During pickup a refundable security bond is processed as a pre authorization on your credit card. This bond is held until the end of the hire, we aim to return security bonds within 7 business days, however if an accident has occured it may take longer.

If there’s an accident that doesn’t involve a breach of the rental agreement, you will be provided with an itemized report of the repair costs, and these costs will be deducted from the bond held, upto the excess of your selected coverage. If the repair costs are less then the excess, we refund the remaining portion to you.

What is the purpose of excess reduction?

From the hirers perspective excess reduction helps prevent unexpedected expenses while on holiday, and provides coverage for occasional dirt road ocurrences.

From a business perspective our insurance costs are quite high due to the nature of our regional business, type of 4WD vehicles and locations we allow them to go. We do our very best to keep costs down so your trip is affordable, while still allowing our vehicles to travel to remarkable places many other companies prohibit. Such as the Gibb River Road and Purnululu National Park.

Our intent after any accident or damage is to get the vehicle back in action as quick as possible so the next travellers booking or safety is not impacted.
